For Debopriya and Suchismita Chatterjee, the flautist sisters, flute is life. Growing up in a musically inclined household, they took to learning the flute at anearly age. Their parents, Robin Chatterjee and Krishna Chatterjee are both vocalists and composers from Allahabad, and passed on their inherent talent to the sisters. Their quest for the depth and richness of Hindustani classical music, especially the flute brought them to the feet of their Guru, the greatest living exponent of Maihar Senia Gharana, the Sun of Flute, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
