Moods of India Music Summit

Come and enjoy the different moods all through the day at this three-day music extravaganza

1.  Early Morning Session

Start your day with peace and quiet… and soothing music. The music of dawn, of divinity, and the sounds of serenity fill your ears with early morning performances that begin with the first rays of sunlight. Last year listerners began their days at the summit with gurbani by Bibi Ashrupreet Kaur (the session ended with some yum kadha prasad), devotional songs by Pandit Chhannulal Mishra and sitar and flute jugalbandi between Ustad Shujaat Khan and Ajay Prasanna.

  1. Coffee & Conversations

Afternoons are for learning and information as we hear the best in Indian and international music get together and chat about the industry, the craft and, sometimes, the controversies. Workshops with master musicians like saxophonist George Brooks were illuminating last year, while this year you can look forward to fun-filled and riveting conversations with India’s best loved musicians like Usha Uthup.

  1. Evening Energy

The tempo ups as the shadows grow longer – foot-tapping tunes, never-before collaborations that get you up on your feet, and mega concerts are for the evenings. Watch out for our main mega concert of the summit plus a unique collab of Indian musicians with 5-time Grammy winner Jeff Bhasker.

  1. Late Night Melodies

If you think the day ends after the event concerts, you can’t be further from the truth! The day of music never ends at the India Music Summit and the tune lingers in the air at all hours. Join us for after-hours nostalgia sessions where you can do more than just listen to good ol’ tunes – you can also join in and sing a tune or two.

  1. Bond Over Music

The best part of the India Music Summit is that only those people who have an active interest in music – an interest that goes beyond just listening to songs – attend the event. So as you go through the days, you meet likeminded people with whom you can share your experience and memories – and perhaps fix to meet the next year again!
