HRH Brajraj Singh Bahadur, the 20th Maharaja of Kishangarh, was born on 22 August 1953 and has been the titular head of the state for the last four decades. Kishangarh has been associated with the arts for centuries, and the house is where the famous Kishangarh painting emerged as a distinctive style in the middle of 18th century under the patronage of Maharaja Sawant Singh.
