Danish Husain is a poet, theatre and film actor, filmmaker and one of the key people instrumental in the nearly-lost art form of oral storytelling, Dastangoi. He has acted in several popular Bollywood films such as Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat, Newton and Manto and is well-known face on the Indian theatre stage. He runs his own theatre company called The Hoshruba Repertory, which premiered its play, Ek Punjab Ye Bhi, at the prestigious Prithvi Theatre Festival in 2015.
