The Mizo Cardinal Choir was formed in 2012 with the vision to promote Mizo talent in choral music outside the state of Mizoram. Originally a gospel choir, the group experiments with pitch, and is a mix of sopranos, altos, tenors and base – often performing acapella. The 21-member choir won the silver medal in the 10th World Choir Game (Choir Olympic) held in Tshwane, South Africa 2018 – an amazing feat when you consider 295 choirs from over 60 countries participated at this competition.
